Keep Tulu alive
We create spaces where Tulu is spoken, sung and passed on to the next generation growing up in Australia.
ಎಂಕುಲು ಏರ್ Who we are
A community built on language, culture and the simple joy of finding your people far from home.
Tulu Koota Sydney was founded to bring together the Tulu-speaking community across Sydney and New South Wales. Our members trace their roots to Tulu Nadu — the coastal belt of Karnataka and northern Kerala — home of the Tulu language, one of the oldest Dravidian tongues.
What began as informal gatherings has grown into a registered not-for-profit organisation running cultural festivals, sports tournaments, charity drives and family events throughout the year.

From Aati traditions to Yakshagana, we bring the festivals and art forms of Tulu Nadu to Sydney.
New arrivals, young families, students — everyone finds a helping hand and a familiar accent here.
Blood drives, charity runs and volunteering — we're proud Tuluvas and proud Australians.
Whether you speak Tulu fluently or your kids are just learning their first words — there's a place for you here.
